How to draw near to God.

Cactus roots go deep into the soil for water absoprtion.

Perhaps you feel like you have drifted away from God. How do you turn back to Him wholeheartedly?

Repentance!

What has kept you from drawing near to God? Oftentimes it is shame for the wrongs we have done that makes us hide from God, or drift from Him.

The courage for our forgiveness is in the blood of Jesus. Confess your sins to God and He will be faithful to forgive you. Ask Him to show you any impurity in your life.

Your first love!

Do what you did in the beginning, when your heart was burning for the Lord! Restore the habits and the patterns you used to follow. Discipline is important, it is not magic that fixes everything, or a dramatic emotional encounter that restores everything. It is discipline!

Consistency!

If everything was based on how we feel or what we go through, we would not be consistent. Therefore, rely on God’s love, which is unfailing. God’s love never changes. When you draw near to God because of His love, you will find yourself always with Him, because He always loves you.
